University of Defence and National Defence Academy Signed Memorandum of Understanding

05/03/2022 • At the end of 2021, University of Defence vice-rector for external relations and internationalisation colonel doc. Mgr. Ing. Libor Kutěj, Ph.D. accompanied by the head of international office captain Ing. Hana Šmerdová paid a short visit to the National Defence Academy of Georgia. Reciprocally, University of Defence rector-commandant brigadier general prof. RNDr. Zuzana Kročová, Ph.D. invited Georgian academy leaders to Brno.

In the course of three-day visit that took place on 26 to 28 April 2022, University of Defence rector and NDA deputy rector colonel David Razmadze signed the Memorandum of Understanding, which opens the door to a wider cooperation between the two military education institutions. Both sides used the opportunity of signature process and acquainted one another with their schools‘ roles and primary missions, as well as their expert capabilities, and outlined the options for future cooperation.

Both of the above-mentioned journeys followed the defence inter-ministerial Bilateral Cooperation Plans for the appropriate year. Responsibility of making plans at that level on behalf of the Czech Ministry of Defence belongs to Defence Policy and Strategy Division.
